Manmohan Singh conferred with ‘Indira Gandhi Prize for Peace Disarmament and Development’

In an address at Jawahar Bhawan, New Delhi, Sonia Gandhi conferred Prime Minister Manmohan Singh with ‘Indira Gandhi Prize for Peace, Disarmament and Development’.

In November last year, Manmohan Singh won the award. The award comprises of Rupees 25 lakh and a citation. Some of the earlier recipients include the likes of UNICEF, Rajiv Gandhi, Saburo Okita and Jimmy Carter.

The 2018 version of the prize is set to be given to the Delhi-based think tank, Centre for Science and Environment.
