A 1-year-old chef known as ‘Chef Kobe’ over 1.4 million followers on Instagram within months of opening the account. As netizens’ screen time grew this quarantine to kill boredom, Kobe treated them with his Instagram handle, Kobe Eats, the videos of which are too enticing.
His fan list includes celebrities like famous chef and TV show host Rachel Ray.
On the aptly named “Kobe Eats” series, the toddler tackles everything from family favourites like macaroni and cheese to international dishes like Turkish menemen, eggs in a garlicky tomato sauce.
The videos of this little star shows his love for eating, cooking and exploring in the kitchen. while ago a video posted on Instagram showed his post captioned, “I made butter chicken and naan with my mother!” helped a lot because a lot of work is done on the stove .. I made some mistakes but it’s ok, so much fun to make it !!! I especially loved the part where I ate naan.
Speaking to CNN Kobe’s mother, Ashley Wian, said that the videos began as a way of sharing her son’s excitement in the kitchen with friends and family.
“Cooking is just one of many practical things that Kobe does at home. He has so much fun doing it and such a big, animated personality, I decided to record it to share originally with friends and family,” she said.
The couple are “all about hands-on learning” and Wian says their kitchen is the perfect place for Kobe to learn and explore regardless of the mess.
“He investigates new ingredients, feels new textures, learns practical skills like pouring, scooping and measuring. That is why this all started, another practical thing that he can learn so much from. He has fine-tuned so many motor skills just by helping me. Yes, it gets messy but that’s it. A mess is just a mess! It can be cleaned! The memories we make will last forever”, she added.
Kobe’s Instagram handle is managed by his parents. The first video was posted on February 25, 2020, and the account had just about 200 followers initially.
