Twitter and Tweetdeck have gone down for some users after the social media giant suffered global outages. Users have received error messages on the Twitter and Tweetdeck platform warning them they do not have permission to access their main login account.
Some users attempting to use Tweetdeck were instead redirected to the Twitter.com website.
Performance issues began to surface this morning, and reports of widespread outages began around 10 AM when the Tweetdeck monitoring site, Is It Down Right Now, reported that the site was having problems. It did not give details about what caused the outage.
Meanwhile Downdetector’s outage map shows that users worldwide are reporting problems, with those in the UK, Japan and West coast of the United States worst affected.
