New-generation Maruti Celerio first look leaked, check photos

Maruti Suzuki has been testing the new-generation Celerio for a long time. Once again it was spotted in Delhi during testing. Leaked pictures during testing reveal some specific information about the new Maruti Celerio. Compared to the current model, many changes and new features will be seen with major changes in the design of this car.

The new Maruti Celerio will be based on Suzuki’s latest Heartect platform. On this platform, cars like Maruti’s Dzire, Baleno, Swift and S-Preso have been made. The new Celerio is expected to be launched in early 2021. It will replace the current model of the Celerio.

Changes in the look of the new Celerio will be different from the current model. It will get other changes including a new grille, new headlights, new tail lamps with LED signature styling, new design bumpers and a tailgate that looks great. Pictures of the testing model indicate that the new Celerio may be larger than the current model.

New Generation Celerio Features
Like the exterior, the interior of the new Celerio will be different from the current model and will be equipped with the latest features. The new-generation Celerio features SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android auto support, multi functional steering wheel, multi-information display, electrically adjustable out side rear view mirrors, key-less entry, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and Other features will be available including rear parking sensors.

Talking about the engine, it may be that there is no change in the engine of the new Celerio. Like the current model, the new-generation Celerio is also expected to get a 1.0-liter petrol engine, which generates 66 bhp of power and 90 Nm of torque. There is a choice of 5-speed manual and AMT automatic gearbox with this. However, some reports have said that two engine options can be found in the new Celerio, like the WagonR. These include a 1.0-liter petrol engine as well as a 1.2-liter petrol engine.
