Nikita Roy Box Office Day 1 Prediction: Experts Predict Opening Day Collection

Nikita Roy Box Office Day 1: Sonakshi Sinha diving into the supernatural, and her brother Kussh S Sinha making his directorial debut it’s got that whole “family business, but make it spooky” vibe. The film’s hitting theaters July 18, 2025, and honestly, people are more than a little curious. Not just about the plot, but also if it’s gonna rake in any cash on Day 1. Let’s dig in.

Nikita Roy Box Office Day 1

Let’s be real the hype was pretty much on life support at first. But then, out of nowhere, it started to pick up steam. BookMyShow saw the film’s likes jump from barely-there at 11,000 to a whopping 66,600 as D-day crept closer. Compare that to Kajol’s Maa, which clocked in around 42k likes at the same point, and you realize Nikita Roy’s not exactly getting ignored. Not bad for a movie that didn’t have a mammoth promo budget.

Experts Prediction

The “experts” (Pinkvilla, M9 News, and that ever-opinionated Rohit Jaiswal) are throwing around numbers like ₹12–25 lakh for opening day. Jaiswal’s betting on the lower end, saying horror’s a tough genre and Sonakshi’s not exactly the only star in the sky this week. Basically, if Nikita Roy manages ₹20 lakh, that’s a win for what’s basically a niche thriller.

What Might Help?

The film’s not doomed. There’s a crowd for supernatural stuff, especially if early reviews are solid. And people love a sibling story even if it’s behind the camera. Also, the release date isn’t sandwiched between two mega-blockbusters, so Nikita Roy might actually get some breathing space. Who knows, maybe word of mouth gives it legs.

Not gonna set the world on fire, but considering the shoestring promo budget and niche genre, it’s not embarrassing either. If the movie’s actually good, it could snowball over the weekend. Stranger things have happened.

Look, Nikita Roy probably won’t be the movie everyone’s texting about on Friday night. But the late surge in curiosity and the horror angle give it a shot at surprise success. If it actually delivers, Sonakshi’s gamble might pay off not just at the box office, but with some good old-fashioned street cred.
