Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has some really strict advice for his party lawmakers after BJP chief, Amit Shah has made it to the Rajya Sabha. “Now Amit Shah is here, all your leisure days are over,” said PM while addressing MPs during BJP parliamentary party meeting in Delhi on Thursday.

Reportedly, the Prime Minister has made it clear to the BJP MPs that newly-elected Rajya Sabha MP Amit Shah will make sure the party MPs are in attendance in both the Houses. “We have asked you multiple times to be present in Parliament. Still some MPs remain absent. What do you think of yourselves? You are nobody, I am nobody, it’s the BJP that is of utmost importance,” PM said.

Last month, PM expressed his displeasure over BJP members’ absence from the Houses. Their absence also led to the embarrassment for the government during an amendment session of a bill. Earlier this month, Shah took serious note of party members not attending the house despite a lash.

Parliamentary affairs minister, Ananth Kumar confirmed the development saying, the BJP chief asked party MPs to be present in both Houses. He also told them “not to repeat” (such conduct), Kumar added.
