Earlier age used to be one of the tie-breaking criteria but has been dropped now.
It is important to note that the aspirants’ percentile score will be based on relative performance. The NTA official website reads, “The Percentile Score indicates the percentage of candidates that have scored equal to or below (same or lower raw scores) that particular Percentile in that examination. The marks obtained in between the highest and lowest scores are also converted to appropriate Percentiles.”
Earlier, a notification was released by IIT Kharagpur announcing that the institute would commence the JEE Advanced 2021 registration on September 11. IIT Kharagpur, however, postponed the registration process last weekend and announced that the registration will start from September 13. The decision by IIT Kharagpur led to speculations that the NTA will declare the JEE Main 2021 result soon. But the NTA preferred not to make any announcement on JEE Mains result 2021 date and time. Some reports claim that the ongoing delay was due to the alleged JEE Scam.
