Tuesday, the Odisha government announced a 4% increase in the dearness allowance (DA) for its employees and pensioners.
The DA for employees and pensioners has been enhanced from the current 38 percent to 42 percent.
The CMO stated in a press release that the enhanced DA will be retroactively applicable as of January 23 of this year, and the employees will receive the increase with their June pay.
7.5 million employees and retirees will receive the benefit.
