Criticism on Pakistan’s policy of supporting terrorism has this time come from none other than its own chief justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali. The chief justice while speaking at a ceremony in Islamabad on Monday slammed Pakistani political parties for endorsing terrorism.

Jamali said, “It is disappointing to see some political parties supporting terrorists for their own interest.” The judge added that terrorists in the country are trying to disrupt law and order situation by targeting courts in the country to instil fear among lawyers and judges.

The chief justice said that various institutions of governance must function properly to bring stability in the country. He plead that all institutions should work in their respective domains and not trespass each other. Jamali stressed that corruption and unrest in the country will be eliminated only if all the institutions improve their performance.

Jamali also said the Pakistani constitution allows all faiths to practice their religion without fear of being persecuted.
