Patanjali prices after GST: The GST Council’s big decision to change tax rates will start tomorrow, September 22, 2025. The Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the Council approved reducing the GST slabs. Earlier, there were four rates 5%, 12%, 18%, and 28%. Now there will be only two main rates: 5 % and 18%. Some luxury and sin items will still have a 40% special rate.

This change will make many goods cheaper for people. Around 375 items will see a price drop. This includes cars, electronics, kitchen items, medicines, and other equipment. People can expect to pay less for daily use items starting tomorrow.

Companies Respond With Price Cuts

Patanjali Foods Limited, led by Baba Ramdev, said it is reducing prices across its products. The company cut the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) for both food and non-food items. Patanjali said the price cuts show the company’s promise to provide affordable, high-quality, natural products. They also said this aligns with the government’s plan to make health and nutrition easier for everyone to access.

The simplified GST system is expected to benefit consumers directly in their wallets. By reducing the number of tax slabs, the government hopes people will get better prices and the tax system will be easier to understand.
