Attacking PM Narendra Modi over his “raincoat” remark about former prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today said that he was aware that
“PM was fond of peeping into others’ bathrooms”
The comment was made in the Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi were addressing a joint press conference in Lucknow.
The attack came in response to PM Modi’s remark in a houseful parliament jibing Congress over corruption controversy in UPA government’s tenure. Slamming Dr Manmohan Singh Modi said,
“There is not a single black mark against him despite all the corruption. Only Doctor Saab (Manmohan Singh) knows how to bathe with a raincoat in the bathroom.”
This remark was crticised by Congress party. Rahul Gandhi expressed discontentment saying,”saddening and shameful”. They have also decided to prohibit the Prime Minister to speak in parliament till he apologises.
