As the election fever is around the corner, assembly polls of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan are going to be the decider for Congress leaders like Sachin Pilot and Jyotiraditya Scindia. However voters’ preference in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram in the upcoming months will set the tone for next year’s Loksabha elections 2019, the outcome in each state will also determine the future of young leaders like Sachin Pilot and Jyotiraditya Scindia, who are claiming to be the future of Congress.
Jyotiraditya Scindia- Former Union Minister and sitting MP from Guna and Shivpuri in Madhya Pradesh, Jyotiradtya has been seen very aggressive in state politics since last two years. As per the sources, Scindia is the major contender in the race of chief minister’s post in the state, but it all depends on the outcome of assembly polls. Jyotiraditya Scindia rise is also somewhat different before the 2014 Loksabha elections Scindia was not much involved in state politics. However, after 2014 he gradually started to lead and now, Scindia is a mass leader in Madhya Pradesh and also, he is no less than a star leader in the state.
Sachin Pilot- Rajasthan Congress president, Sachin Pilot is also banking on Rajasthan assembly polls, as accountability of elections is on his shoulders. Although Pilot has played its cards very well and political experts are claiming, Congress will gain the majority, as incumbent BJP government is facing anti-incumbency in the state. Sachin Pilot has also emerged as a mass leader, who had united the party leaders and workers on the same platform. After an impressive victory of BJP in 2013 assembly polls, where Congress had managed only 21 seats mainly due to Modi wave, but Pilot’s leadership started a new era in Rajasthan, where Congress is reaching every corner of the state.
If BJP retains in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, it will create doubts over Scindia and Pilot’s leadership, but if Congress successfully makes a comeback, both the young leaders will create a big impact over national politics.
