Singer Rahul Vaidya and Disha Parmar is one such celebrity couple fans are crazy about. Ever since Rahul proposed her lady love on Salman Khan’s reality show Bigg Boss 14, the couple has been papped together on multiple occasions in and around the city.
The couple was seen celebrating Gudi Padwa at Rahul’s home in Mumbai. They hoisted the ‘gudi’ and performed the traditional puja together.
Natives of Maharashtra celebrate their New Year on the Pratipada Tithi (first day) of Chaitra month, Shukla Paksha (waxing phase of the Moon). On this day, Maharashtrians hoist a Gudi (a set of items fixed to a wooden stick) outside their doors/windows. This Gudi represents the victory flag, and it commemorates the triumph of Shri Rama over demon-king Ravana. This year, Gudi Padwa will be celebrated today in Maharashtra.
In the viral pictures on social media, Disha wore a ‘nath’ and a ‘nauvari’ saree. Rahul Vaidya sported a beige ‘kurta pyjama’ for the celebration and looked dapper in his traditional attire. The pictures of the couple was shared by Bollywood photographer Viral Bhayani.
Meanwhile, Rahul Vaidya also shared a reel video where he can be seen celebrating the festivities with Disha. He captioned the video as, “Happy Gudipadwa Happy Navratri Happy Baisakhi & Happy Vishnu to everyone!”
