In a bizarre incident, on Saturday, a popular Bollywood song “Yeh andha kanoon hai” from Rajinikanth’s movie was played in the courtroom leaving the people present in Mumbai’s Bandra Court shocked.
As per the report, the sound of the song was coming from an unclaimed bag in the courtroom. As soon as the music started playing, a police constable rushed towards the bag and stopped it. The cop also found a chit with a “bomb” written on it.
Taking quick action on the matter, the police informed a Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS). A senior police officer was quoted in a report as saying, “Nothing was found in it. We suspect somebody left it inside the court.”
“The entire courtroom, including the magistrate, was surprised when the loud film song was heard,” a senior lawyer from the Bandra court said. On inspection, a Bluetooth cell phone speaker was found in the bag.
For those unaware, “Yeh andha kanoon hai” is a song from Bollywood movie “Andha Kanoon” starring Rajinikanth, Hema Malini and Reena Roy in lead roles. Amitabh Bachchan also made a special appearance in the hit movie.
