After Prajapati’s aide, two more people have been detained from Noida in link with the rape case against absconding Samajwadi Party minister Gayatri Prajapati. The SP minister has accused of raping a woman and molesting her daughter.

The Special Task Force held Ashok Tiwari and Ashish Shukla from Noida and both suspects were brought to Lucknow. Police on Monday arrested Prajapati’s aide Chandrapal Singh in the first major headway in the case.

“Chandrapal (Prajapati’s PSO) was arrested near Police Lines in Lucknow,” additional superintendent of Police (East) Shivram Yadav said as per a report in India Today. Notably, there is still no hint of the whereabouts of Prajapati. He had been free for more than a week now.

In the meantime, Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu had said that the reigning SP in Uttar Pradesh should be taught a “lesson for not taking action” against its rape accused minister Prajapati. “No action has been taken against the minister. This type of government should be taught a lesson,” Naidu said.

Not only Venkaiah, even saffron party’s chief Amit Shah and PM Narendra Modi have slammed the Samajwadi Party for not acting quickly against Prajapati.
