Latest Pentagon UFO Document Release: The U.S. Department of War has released a third batch of UAP records on its WAR.GOV/UFO site. Reuters says the new release came out on June 12, 2026, and it includes 72 files from the FBI, CIA, and Pentagon. The collection has videos, witness accounts, and picture-based sketches. The first two releases went live on May 8 and May 22, and the government says more files will keep coming on a rolling basis. The official site also says the release is part of the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters, or PURSUE.
The Department of War says the records are still part of unresolved cases, which means officials could not give a final answer about what was seen. The site says the effort is being carried out with support from the White House, ODNI, DOE, AARO, NASA, FBI, and other intelligence groups. It also says the UAP archive is open to the public and is meant for full transparency. Since launch, the site has received over 1 billion hits worldwide.
One of the new FBI reports describes a bright object seen in a backyard in the northeastern United States. The report says the witness saw a “brilliant red sphere” and noted a “white plasma sun” inside it. Another file talks about a glowing object over a pond. That one is described as a “plasma-like sphere” that changed shape and brightness as it moved. Reuters also said some reports mention orbs that seemed tied together and later split or moved in groups.

The files also mention well-known UAP labels such as “Orbs Over The Pond.” Reuters says several reports point to the same general part of the U.S. Northeast, which is why the new batch has drawn so much attention from people who follow UFO stories. The release does not prove anything strange was in the sky for sure. It only shows that the government still has records it cannot fully explain.
The Pentagon says the release is part of a wider push for openness on UAPs. In the official statement, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said, “The Department of War is in lockstep with President Trump to bring unprecedented transparency regarding our government’s understanding of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena. These files, hidden behind classifications, have long fueled justified speculation — and it’s time the American people see it for themselves.” The same release says the Trump administration is continuing the declassification effort and that more material will keep coming.
Another line from the release says the collection will keep growing as new records are found and cleared. That means the public may see more old cases, more videos, and more reports in the coming weeks.
