Reliance Jio has managed to cross 100-million in subscribers in less than six months of its launch.

According to a Times of India report, Mukesh Ambani is expected to make an announcement regarding the future growth plans for the company on Tuesday.

In September, Ambani had publicly announced his desire to cross the 100-million mark, when the 4G-company announced its official launch.

However, the rival companies had challenged Jio’s free service offerings, including the free data services till the end of March. Bharti Airtel, Vodafone and Idea Cellular had approached the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) to review the promotional offers and predatory pricing by Jio.

TRAI had decided to debate the contentious issues as part of a consultation paper on ‘Regulatory Principles of Tariff Assessment’.
