RIMC Admission 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to close the application window for the Rashtriya Indian Military College Entrance Examination (RIMCEE) 2026 on September 30. The exam is for students looking for admission to Class 8 at Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun, for the July 2027 term.
The application process for this exam is being held online through the NTA portal. Students must complete the form within the given deadline. The regular application window will close at 5 PM on September 30. The payment of the examination fee can be made until 11:50 PM on the same day.

Students who miss the regular deadline can still submit the form with a late fee of Rs 500 from October 1 to October 7, 2026, until 5 PM. The last time for payment of the late fee is 11:50 PM on October 7. A correction window will also be available from October 9 to October 11.
The Stage-I written examination will take place on December 6, 2026. It will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode at 39 cities across India and will be of 4 hours and 30 minutes. The paper will have descriptive questions in Mathematics and English, while General Knowledge will have multiple-choice questions.
Candidates can complete the registration through the official NTA RIMCEE portal. From the December 2026 exam cycle, RIMC has moved to a completely online application system. No hard copy of the form needs to be sent to RIMC or any State Government authority.
Applicants should also keep documents such as Aadhaar Card, birth certificate, domicile certificate, school studying certificate and category certificate, where applicable, ready before filling the form.
The examination fee is Rs 1,000 for General candidates, wards of Defence personnel and ex-servicemen, and OBC-NCL candidates as per the Central List. SC and ST candidates have to pay Rs 750. The late application carries an additional fee of Rs 500.

Candidates should note that the examination fee is generally non-refundable after successful payment, except in cases such as duplicate or multiple payments from the same application.
For admission to Class 8 in the July 2027 term, the candidate must be between 12 years and 6 months and 14 years of age as on July 1, 2027. For RIMCEE 2026, the eligible date of birth range is July 2, 2013 to January 1, 2015, both dates included.
The student must also be studying in Class 7 or must have passed Class 7 from a recognised school at the time of admission. RIMC admission is only offered to Class 8. The selection process also includes the written examination, viva voce and medical examination.
The Stage-I result is scheduled to be declared by February 20, 2027. The Stage-II viva voce is tentatively planned for April 2027, while the exact date will be announced later by NTA and RIMC.
