The trailer of Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s next horror comedy ‘Roohi’ is finally out on Tuesday. The film is helmed by Harshad Mehta.
Roohi(Janhvi Kapoor) plays a witch who will get liberated only if she gets married to a man.
The three-minute trailer starts with a hair-raising sound portraying Roohi who kidnaps brides on their honeymoon. Veer and Raj played by Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma are the two men from the village who take up the responsibility to protect the brides from Roohi. Janhvi Kapoor turns into a ghost bride after being possessed by the spirit.
Before the trailer release, the makers of the film dropped the film’s poster. The tagline on the poster reads, “Mard Ko Zyada Dard Hoga.”
Janhvi Kapoor took to her Instagram handle to share the teaser of Roohi. Her caption read, “Iss Bhootiya Shaadi mein aapka swagat hai! #MagicOfCinemaReturns; movie releases 11th March (sic).”
According to media reports, the film went under several title changes. The film’s first title was Roohi Afza, which was then changed to Roohi Afzana, and now finally the film is titled ‘Roohi’.
Well, the trailer looks promising. The audience has already seen Rajkumar Rao in a horror-comedy and his acting skills have been top-notch so far. It will be delightful to watch Jaanvi Kapoor playing a character of a witch.
