Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 Spied: Royal Enfield is getting ready to add another bike to the Himalayan lineup. The upcoming Himalayan 440 has turned up at a dealer in India, ahead of its official launch there. New photos show more of the production model including the dash and the Tripper navigation setup people have been talking about.
Royal Enfield plans to launch the Himalayan 440 in India on September 4, 2026. It is also expected to come under the Himalayan 450. In other words, it should be the easier option for riders who want an adventure bike.
Recent spy shots were taken at a dealership yard. The bike is parked there and covered in part. Even so, the images still give a decent view of the rear end and the rider area.
The design looks like it keeps the same practical feel seen on the Himalayan 411. At the same time, it seems to pull in parts from the Scram 440. The rear portion, including the tail area and exhaust setup, appears to match the look of the current Royal Enfield adventure platform.
The primary circular unit combines an analogue speedometer with a compact LCD screen for information such as trip data, fuel level and other riding information. Next to it sits a separate circular Tripper navigation pod.
The setup is expected to provide Bluetooth connectivity, smartphone integration and turn-by-turn navigation. This gives the Himalayan 440 a useful technology upgrade without adopting the more expensive full-colour TFT setup found on the Himalayan 450.
Royal Enfield already uses its Tripper technology across its motorcycle range. On the Himalayan 450, the company offers a considerably more advanced 4-inch TFT Tripper Dash with full-map navigation, phone connectivity and media controls.

The Himalayan 440 is expected to use Royal Enfield’s 443cc LS440 single-cylinder engine, already seen in the Scram 440.
The engine produces around 25.4 bhp and 34 Nm, with power sent through a six-speed gearbox. This would make the Himalayan 440 considerably less powerful than the Himalayan 450, whose 452cc Sherpa engine produces 40.02 PS and 40 Nm.
The upcoming motorcycle is expected to occupy a more affordable position in Royal Enfield’s adventure range.
The Himalayan 450 is the more premium option, with a liquid-cooled engine, ride modes, switchable dual-channel ABS and a 4-inch TFT Tripper Dash with full-map navigation.
The Himalayan 440, meanwhile, appears to focus on simplicity and affordability. The latest spy images suggest a more conventional analogue-digital console with a separate Tripper navigation unit.

Royal Enfield still has not revealed the official price for the Himalayan 440. Even so, people in the trade think it will sit under the Himalayan 450. If that happens, it could become the cheaper way into the Himalayan lineup.
A few estimates place it around ₹2.5 lakh to ₹2.7 lakh, ex-showroom. But those are guesses for now. Royal Enfield has not confirmed any number.
