India’s Got Latent Season 2: Stand-up comedian and content creator Samay Raina has officially confirmed that the second season of his big comedy talent show India’s Got Latent will stream at the same time on Netflix and YouTube. This announcement is basically one of the largest creator–platform collaborations in India’s digital entertainment scene. It also hints at the comeback of a show that was kinda stuck right in the middle of public conversations, after its first controversial season.
Netflix India confirmed the partnership through a joint promotional campaign with Samay Raina on Friday. The teaser featured fan-favourite bodyguard Amin Khan alongside Samay and his creative collaborator Balraj Singh Ghai, teasing the show’s comeback with its trademark humour.
Unlike most creator-led shows that shift exclusively to OTT platforms, India’s Got Latent Season 2 will continue to be available on YouTube while also premiering on Netflix.
On June 19, Netflix India officially confirmed the collaboration through a joint Instagram post with Samay Raina. The teaser showed Amin Khan the bodyguard who became a fan favourite after he appeared alongside Samay during his Still Alive comedy special.
In the video, Samay finally put all the speculation to rest and then he revealed the key details about the new season. He said that every episode will release on Netflix and YouTube on the same day and at the same time too. With his usual style of humour in full mode, Samay is seen talking with comedian Balraj and joking about the small differences between the two platforms. He points out that Netflix viewers won’t have to sit through advertisements and, unlike YouTube, audiences won’t be able to leave comments either.
The post was captioned, “It’s SAMAY For A Big Reveal ⏰👀 Watch India’s Got Latent Season 2, coming soon, on Netflix.” The season is expected to arrive sometime in July, although an official date is still awaited.
One of the biggest concerns among fans was whether the move to Netflix would result in heavy censorship or major format changes.
Samay addressed those concerns in the promotional video with his signature comic style. He joked that despite moving to Netflix, the show’s unapologetic humour would remain intact. The teaser also poked fun at the differences between YouTube and Netflix, including the absence of advertisements and comment sections on the streaming platform.
The announcement comes months after India’s Got Latent disappeared from YouTube following a major controversy involving comments made during an episode featuring podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia. The backlash led to multiple FIRs and legal scrutiny, after which Samay Raina removed all episodes of the show from YouTube while investigations were underway.
Since then, Samay has gradually returned to the spotlight through his stand-up special Still Alive, where he revealed that the second season of India’s Got Latent was already in development.
Samay Raina assured fans during his Still Alive stand-up special that the journey was far from over. “I don’t think the first season of my show could have ended at such a high point,” he said, while promising that the show would return. Behind-the-scenes updates and social media teasers over the past few weeks further fuelled speculation before the official announcement arrived.

While Netflix and Samay Raina have officially confirmed the show’s return, an exact premiere date has not yet been announced. The promotional campaign only states that Season 2 is “coming soon.”
