SEBI New Personal Finance App Saarthi 2.0: SEBI has updated its Saarthi personal finance app, now called Saarthi 2.0, to make complex financial concepts more accessible and straightforward for investors.
The app provides investors with essential insights into the securities market and helps them make informed investment decisions.
Ananth Narayan, a whole-time member of SEBI said “In today’s era, where social media sometimes provides biased or misleading information, there is a significant need for an unbiased, objective, and trusted source of investment information. The Saarthi app services this purpose by empowering investors with reliable and essential insights into the securities market. This tool can be especially useful for young investors who are at the beginning of their financial journey.”
In addition, Narayan stressed that the content of the app changes as the market changes.
In order to ensure Saarthi remains a valuable resource for investors, SEBI actively seeks public feedback.
With Saarthi 2.0, users have access to a user-friendly interface and an array of tools aimed at demystifying complex financial concepts.
The app offers the following features:
Upon opening the app, users are required to register by providing basic information. Saarthi 2.0 can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or iOS App Store.
On the app’s home screen, you can access financial calculators, educational modules, and videos.
Learn about various financial instruments and market procedures by exploring different modules.
Calculators assist in planning investments and understanding potential returns.
To help improve the app’s functionality and content, SEBI encourages users to provide feedback.
In order to bridge the knowledge gap for investors, especially young ones, Saarthi 2.0 aims to provide reliable and objective information.
In January 2022, Saarthi launched a mobile app to cater to the growing number of individual investors.
The former SEBI Chairman at the time, Ajay Tyagi, said, “With the recent surge in individual investors entering the market, and a large proportion of trading taking place via mobile phones, this App will be helpful in accessing relevant information.”
