New Delhi, Feb 5 (IANS) The case of the death of a four-month-old infant in Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh, which is the epicentre of the anti-Citizenship Amendment Act protests, has reached the Supreme Court.

A girl, who received the prestigious bravery award from the President, has written a letter to Chief Justice of India S. A. Bobde seeking guidelines from the Court not to include children in the protests.

She has also sought investigation from the authorities into the matter, as the death certificate did not mention the reason of death as per the media reports.

Zen Gunratan Sadavarte, a class seven student from Mumbai, said the involvement of children in protests amounts to torture.

She emphasised that new born babies need extra, and the protesters are ignoring the unfavourable conditions in which the children are put, which violates child rights and natural justice.
