Surjit Bhalla resigns from PM’s Economic Advisory Council

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Economic Advisory Council member and a close confidante Surjit Bhalla has resigned from his post on social networking site Twitter and said, “I resigned as part-time member of PMEAC on December 1.”

the council is a think tank body of economists who advise PM on economic issues.

The Economic Advisory Council to Prime Minister(EAC-PM) is headed by Niti Ayog member Bibek Debroy and other members are Ashima Goyal, Shamika Ravi and economist Rathin Roy.
