In a press statement, Mayawati said she had entered into an alliance with the SP in 2019, setting aside the acrimony of the June 2, 1995 incident.

Not just UP, the BSP candidates could also not open their accounts in Maharashtra and Haryana, where party supremo Mayawati herself campaigned.
Irked with corruption in ticket allocation, party workers made Ramji Gautam sit on a donkey and parade outside party office in Jaipur.
Mayawati said the move will not bring any benefits for OBC groups and Yogi Adityanath had deceived them.
Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav, on the hand, did not comment on Mayawati’s statement.
Addressing a meeting of party leaders, Mayawati announced that the BSP would contest the by-elections to 11 Assembly elections in the state on its own.
The SP-BSP alliance is now poised for a major victory in Uttar Pradesh and if reports are to be believed, it may even outdo the BJP
