Tanishk Bagchi Saiyaara Title Track: On Saturday, Saiyaara completed one year since its release. On this first anniversary, music composer Tanishk Bagchi made a serious claim about the film’s title song. He said he is still waiting for Rs 8 lakh in royalties for the track.

He also said that the small upfront fee he got was fully used up on production and mixing work, so he was left with no real earnings from the song. Reports about the post say he shared these thoughts on Instagram in a now-deleted message.

What Tanishk Bagchi Said

Tanishk said the song was a very personal project for him. He wrote, “This was my first film with @yrfentertainment @yrfmusic… I agreed to everything because I believed in the music. I gave this song everything I had.” He also said that every small part of the song mattered to him.

That included the production, composition, lyric work, singing, recording, vocal tuning, sound, and arrangements. In his post, he said he treated the song like it was his own. He also said that whatever YRF paid him was spent on the live work and mixes.

Why He Feels Upset

The composer said the biggest problem for him is the royalty amount. He claimed that he is “still yet to receive just Rs 8 lakhs in royalties” even though the song has collected millions of streams and views across platforms. He said that for the amount of work, time, and passion he gave, Rs 8 lakh feels very small. He also said he truly believed a song that became this big would have earned much more.

Tanishk later made it clear that he was not looking for sympathy. He said, “I’m not writing this for sympathy.” He added that he was sharing the post because he knows what he gave to the song and what he sacrificed to finish it.

He also said, “This experience has changed the way I look at this industry.” In the end, he said he will now only work with producers and directors who respect creativity, honesty, and the people behind the music.
