Ten people die due to extreme heat wave in Uttar Pradesh

The unbearable heat waves took 10 lives in just 24 hours. Reportedly, at least 10 people have died due to the heat wave in different parts of Uttar Pradesh, an official said on Tuesday.

The number of patients with heat stroke conditions, diarrhoea, vomiting and high fever has augmented in hospitals across the state.

The worst hit region is Bundelkhand with mercury logging an average of 47 degrees Celsius. Banda and Mahoba continue to boil under an unparalleled heat wave.

Four persons died in the Bundelkhand region while six children died in the Avadh region because of heat stroke and ‘loo’, said official.

Over 120 people are suffering from food poisoning in Harwatand village after Roza iftar. A team of government doctors has been deployed at the village. Besides, Temperature is also hovering at around 46 degrees in Etawah, Mainpuri, Unnao, Kanpur, Lucknow, Fatehpur, Hardoi and Auraiyya.

Met office has predicted some breather as some parts of the state may receive some drizzles and dust storm. It may bring down temperatures a bit.
