Bhopal: A tiger in Madhya Pradesh who made headlines over killing 3 people is being sent to jail as he is now going to spend his life behind the bars for three human kills.
According to the report of TOI, the tiger was given many chances to survive in the wild but it kept straying into human habitation. The authorities declared him dangerous to human life in compliance with the 2019 NTCA guidelines and decided to keep it an enclosure.
The tiger is 5-year-old and it weighs 180 kg, he has wandered 510 km from Chandrapur in Maharashtra to Palaspani in MP’s Betul and he killed three humans on the way.
The rest of the tigers are dangerous or were rescued as orphans and are kept in separate cages away from the tens of thousands of visitors.
It was shifted to STR on January 31, 2019, where it was radio collared and released into the wild on February 1. Forest officials monitored it 24/7.
The tiger was tranquillised in Kanha at around 5pm on Saturday and transported to Bhopal, around 440 km away. Forest officials are monitoring it closely here.
