Top 15 American Cities with Construction Jobs

American Cities with Construction Jobs: The construction industry has gotten a lot of help from the federal government’s spending on rebuilding and improving important American infrastructure over the past few years. However, there are not enough workers in this sector right now.

After a sharp drop in jobs because of COVID-19, the construction industry’s workforce rose again. But since then, hiring has stopped, even though spending on construction keeps going up.

There aren’t enough workers across the country, but construction jobs have grown a lot in some states. This rise in jobs is mostly due to more people moving into those areas and more people wanting to live there.

As a metropolitan area, there is a strong link between the growth of construction jobs and the overall health of the economy of the area. In general, places with faster total employment growth tend to see strong increases in construction jobs, while places where people are losing their jobs are more likely to cut back on construction hiring.

According to Moneytalksnews, researchers at Construction Coverage looked at data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics to find the areas where construction jobs have grown the most. If you want to know more, the methodology section at the end of the report has it.
