A famous motherly face in Bollywood and a talented Marathi theatre artist, actor Reema Lagoo is no more. She died of cardiac arrest in Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai on Thursday. She was 59 years old.
Known for essaying the role of a mother of many Bollywood stars in Hindi movies, her onscreen charm will always be missed. We pay our sincere tribute to this versatile actress.
She played the lead role in the Marathi serial Tuza Maza Jamena.She is mostly remembered as Kokiji in Shriman Shrimati.Her role as Madhuri Dixit’s mother in Hum Aapke Hain Koun was much loved by the audience.She has also played the role of a mother in movies like Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Saath-Saath Hain, Aashiqui and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.She was the epitome of a mother’s strength and care in her role as SRK’s mother in Kal Ho Na Ho.
