Republican candidate Donald Trump contrasted the economic growth of India with that of US and blamed President Barack Obama for the country’s slower economic rate.

“They say it’s hard because we’re a large county. Well, India is a much larger country and they’re at 8 per cent,” Trump said

Trump made this remark at an election rally in New Hampshire hours after the latest report showed the US economy grew 2.9 percent in the third quarter of 2016.

The New York billionaire assured voters an annual economic growth of 4 percent if he is voted to power.

The real estate tycoon said that Barack Obama is the first President in the modern history of America under whom the economic growth rate has not crossed 3 percent.

Similarly, he said, China is growing at 7 percent which they are not happy with and if the GDP drops further it will be a natural catastrophe.

Trump also said that the US economy is falling around 1 percent and most of the jobs are taken by Mexico, rendering 47 million people poor.

Alleging that the Democratic candidate Hillary “unleashed ISIS onto the world”, Trump promised to suspend the Syrian refugee program.
