Salman Khan’s much-awaited film, Tubelight fails to match expectations of the people and break records of his pre-releases at the box office. The film has hit the theatres on Friday. And, as per reports, the pre-Eid release managed to rake in only about Rs 20.75 crore on day 1 at the ticket windows.
Usually, it is considered a fairly good number, but not when the film is of Salman Khan. Reportedly, Tubelight needed to fetch at least Rs 25 crore on day 1. Previous Salman’s pre-Eid releases like Kick (24.97 crore) and Bajrangi Bhaijaan (26.67 crore) minted more than Tubelight.
However, the figure may go up by post Monday. This Saturday and Sunday is also very crucial for the film.
