Turkey detains over 400 ISIS suspects in a nationwide search operation just a month after the horrifying Istanbul Nightclub attack on New Year’s eve, which killed 39 people. The suspected members of the murderous group include non-Turkish nationals and some suspected of planning attacks.

The nationwide operation detained 150 suspects in Sanliurfa which is located in the south-east of the country. And 60 were detained in Ankara. Dozens more were arrested in provinces like Bursa in the west to Bingol in the east. Those held are mainly foreigners.

Abdulkadir Masharipov, the suspected gunmen of Uzbek nationality, was detained after ISIS claimed themselves responsible for the attack. Authorities say that Masharipov has confessed to carrying out the massacre at the Reina nightclub.

The suspects were rounded up in simultaneous raids on the Sincan, Cubuk, Yenimahalle and Mamak districts of the capital.
