The Lt Governor Kiran Bedi and Chief Minister V Narayanasamy have several face offs in the past, most of them arising out of a turf war over Puducherry’s administration.

In the recent spat, CM Narayanasamy on Sunday hit back at Lt Governor Kiran Bedi for preaching and teaching others about Motor Vehicles act while herself not following the rule.

The tiff between the two started on Saturday after the Congress party organised a motorcycle rally throughout the Kamaraj Nagar assembly constituency to undertake electioneering on the final day of the campaign for the October 21 by-election.

In the rally, Chief Minister V Narayanasamy, PCC President A Namasivayam and other leaders were seen riding the scooters and bikes, which commenced from Samipillai thottam.

On this, Kiran Bedi pointed out the leaders as violating the Motor Vehicles Act as they were not wearing safety helmets. Taking to her social media platform, Bedi Tweeted, “Brazen violation of MV Act and directions of both Honorable Madras High Court & Supreme Court. Rule of Law prevails. DGP Puducherry, Balaji Srivastava, IPS, issues directions for legal action against the defaulters.”

Few hour to this, Narayanasamy hit back at Bedi with evidence of herself violating the laws. Reverting to her Tweet from yesterday, CM posted two images, One where she can bee seen not wearing helmet where as in the other image the driver on the two-wheeler not wearing the helmet. Along with the pictures, CM said, “Practice before you preach…”
