UGC NET June 2024 Exam Postponed to June 18: NEW DELHI is located in India. The National Testing Agency (NTA) postponed UGC-NET 2024 from June 16 to June 18. Furthermore, it has decided to hold the exam in OMR-mode instead of CBT-mode. The UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) 2024 registration process is underway. Candidates eligible for the exam can apply on the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in, until May 10.

Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, the UGC chairman, made the announcement on his official X account, which was previously known as Twitter. The National Testing Agency and UGC have decided to shift the UGC-NET from June 16 (Sunday) to June 18 (Tuesday) based on feedback received from candidates. “I will soon issue a formal notification,” said NTA.

Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar stated that NTA will conduct UGC-NET 2024 in OMR mode across India on a single day. Two papers will comprise the UGC-NET 2024. MCQs will be included in both papers. Papers will not have a break between them. Paper 1 will contain 50 multiple-choice questions worth 100 marks. Paper I will assess the teaching or research aptitude of the candidate.

The primary design of the test is to assess the reasoning ability, reading comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness of the applicants. There will be 100 questions of 2 marks in Paper 2. The questions will assess domain knowledge and will be based on the subject selected by the candidate.
