UP: 16 IPS officers get new postings to Banaras, Agra, Noida, Ghaziabad and Prayagraj

According to an official statement, as many as 16 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers were sent to new postings on Monday, following the Uttar Pradesh cabinet’s approval to implement the police commissionerate system in the cities of Prayagraj, Agra, and Ghaziabad. New commissioners of police have been appointed in Banaras, Agra, Noida, Ghaziabad, and Prayagraj.

Laxmi Singh was appointed as Noida Police Commissioner, Ajay Mishra as Ghaziabad Police Commissioner, Pritinder Singh as Agra Police Commissioner, Ramit Sharma as Prayagraj Police Commissioner, and Ashok Mutha Jain as Varanasi Police Commissioner. While SSP Ghaziabad Muniraj was named SSP Ayodhya, current SSP Prashant Verma was named SP Bahraich, SSP Prayagraj Shailesh Pandey was named SSP Mathura, and SSP Mathura Abhishek Yadav was named SP Intelligence of Lucknow Headquarters.
