UP Board 10th, 12th Result 2020: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) will be going to announce the UP Board 10th, 12th results on June 27, Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma informed on June 2.
As per media reports, UPMSP Secretary Neena Srivastava confirmed that the evaluation process of answer sheets has been completed. Over 99% of UP Board evaluation was already done by May 30. The UP board results 2020 were pending because of the lockdown imposed by the Centre to contain the spread of coronavirus pandemic.
Earlier the UPMSP scheduled the evaluation of copies to start from May 5 but this was delayed following protests from teachers’ bodies citing safety concerns. After this, the UP Board decided to start evaluation in schools that are in the green zones across the state.
The Centre had already divided districts into green, orange and red zones to specify the districts with a high number of COVID-19 cases.
As per Dinesh Sharma’s statement, over 30.24 lakh students applied for Class 10th board exams and 25.86 lakh students registered for Class 12th examinations, combining to be the total number of registered students to 56.11 lakh.
Both the UP Board Class 10 exams and UP Board Class 12 exams were concluded by March 5. On May 30, the board declared that evaluation of over 99% of Class 10 and Class 12 board exam answer sheets was done.
The evaluation process was pending in the orange zone district of Basti and red zone districts of Agra, FIrozabad, Mathura, Aligarh, Mathura, Meerut, Bareli, and Varanasi.
