Addressing a rally on Sunday in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath said the condition of the roads in the State would improve in the coming days. ‘We have asked authorities to ensure that the roads are free of potholes by June 15’, he said. He told the gathering that the land of farmers and poor will not be snatched and those who do it will have a hard time dealing with the law enforcement agencies. Also, he vowed to keep the policies of PM Narendra Modi in mind and work for the betterment of the state.

Adityanath also promised 24 hours electricity for district headquarters. Adding on the load shedding issue, he promised to provide 18 hours of electricity to the rural areas, also assured that a new transformer would be installed in 48 hours if in case it fails. Taking a jibe at the SP government, he slammed them over power issues and clearly told that only a few places were given power facility.

To ensure 24-hour electricity, Yogi asked for co-operation of the people of UP, saying, those places will get round the clock power where theft of electricity does not take place. Those below the poverty line will get free power connection.

The 21st CM of UP increased the pension of physically handicapped people from Rs 300 to Rs 500.

Notably, Uttar Pradesh is all set to go to polls for its 744 urban local bodies in June. Adityanath has reportedly asked the party workers to campaign for and popularize the schemes of central and state government.
