UP: FIR against 43 for knowingly serving non-veg biryani at religious ceremony

Uttar Pradesh police on Thursday lodged an FIR against 43 people for cheating villagers by knowingly serving chicken biryani to them in the form of ‘prasad’ at a religious ceremony. Meanwhile, the BJP Charkhari MLA Brijbhushan Rajput has sought a report from the authorities in this matter.

According to media reports, the event was held on August 31 in the Charkhari police station area of ​​Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh. At the gathering, people from at least 13 villages were invited. After the event, villagers alleged that a man identified as Kallu Qazi cheated with their emotions by knowingly serving chicken biryani to the villagers.

On this, a panchayat meeting was held where the accused Kallu Qazi was fined Rs 50 thousand.

The incident came to light when the villagers decided to purify themselves by diping under Ganga. For this, the villagers asked money from the organisers of the event. On this, the two parties felling into an heated argument.
