UPTET 2019 exam postpones due to internet ban amid CAA protests

UPTET 2019: The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test- UPTET 2019 has been postponed by the Uttar Pradesh (UP) Basic Education Board that was earlier slated to be held on December 22. The new exam dates will be out soon on the official website i.e. updeled.gov.in

As per media reports, many applicants were not able to download the admit card due to the ban of internet services in several parts of UP amid anti-CAA protest. A new schedule will be issued soon.

Around 16,45, 510 candidates had registered for UPTET exam this year. Out of that 10,76,336 for primary level and 5,69,174 for upper-primary level have applied.

Exam will be conducted in two sessions:

  • Primary level- 10 AM to 12.30 PM
  • Upper primary level- 2.30 PM to 5 PM

The admit card for the UPTET 2019 exam was released on December 12, 2019. The exam will be conducted at 1,986 exam centres for primary level and 1063 centres for upper primary level.

Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) is a state-level exam which is conducted each year to hire primary and upper primary teachers for the schools of Uttar Pradesh.
