Uri box office collection day 53: Vicky Kaushal starrer surpasses Ranveer Singh’s Simmba

Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam starrer have been collecting hefty amount at the box office ever since its release. Even after more than 50 days of release, the film is still minting money at the box office and now the film is even breaking records.

The film has become the highest grosser mid-budget film and now Uri has broken one more record and added to its kitty. Vicky Kaushal starrer has finally beat Rohit Shetty’s Simbaa that stars Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan.

While Simmba collected a total of Rs 240.31 crore at the box-office in its lifetime run, Uri, on its 53rd day of release, made a total of Rs 240.38 crore, beating Simmba by Rs 7 lakh.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh, took to Twitter to reveal Uri’s latest box-office numbers and reveal the collection of both the film.

“#UriTheSurgicalStrike continues its incredible run… Biz on [eighth] Mon [#Mahashivratri] is higher than [eighth] Fri… Crosses *lifetime biz* of #Simmba… Eyes ₹ 250 cr… [Week 8] Fri 38 lakhs, Sat 80 lakhs, Sun 1.18 cr, Mon 67 lakhs. Total: ₹ 240.38 cr. India biz,” – his tweet read.

Helmed by debutant Aditya Dhar, the movie also stars Paresh Rawal, TV actor Mohit Raina, Rajit Kapur and Kirti Kulhari in prominent roles.
