The Uttar Pradesh ATS on Tuesday arrested two Babbar Khalsa terrorists, from Lakhimpur Kheri district. The terrorists were wanted by the Punjab Police for their connection is separate cases.
According to Aseem Arun, IG, UP ATS, Jitendra Singh Toni was wanted for allegedly supplying arms to the accused who fled from Nabha Jail, Patiala in November 2016, from Mailani area of Lakhimpur Kheri.
The other arrested is Satnam Singh, a resident of Sikanderpur area of Lakhimpur, whose name had emerged in the interrogation of Babbar Khalsa operative arrested in Lucknow on 17 August this year.
Arun added that warrants had been issued against both of them by the court in Punjab.
