Valentine Week list 2019: Rose Day, Chocolate Day and other days to celebrate before Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is celebrated as the day of love and affection on February 14 every year. People from all over the world express their love and affection to their loved ones by mentioning their importance and what they mean to them. Valentine’s Day is celebrated to honour Saint Valentine. Lovebirds start the celebration a week earlier by marking each day with special importance.

People spread the joy of togetherness a week before Valentine’s Day through the exchange of various gifts and gestures, starting from February 7 which is particularly known as the Rose Day. From February 8 to 13 lovebirds celebrate Propose Day, Chocolate Day, Teddy Day, Promise Day, Hug Day and Kiss Day respectively. These days are collectively called Valentine’s Week.

Here are the various days of Valentine’s Week 2019 and what they signify:

Rose Day- February 7 (Thursday):

On Rose Day people give roses to their loved ones, friends or their special someone as a token of love and affection. While red rose denotes love, yellow rose denotes friendship and white is significant for peace. If you like someone more than a friend then you can hint him/her with a pink rose.

Propose Day- February 8 (Friday):

This is the second day of Valentine’s Week which gives you the opportunity to express your feelings in front of your crush in the most romantic way.

Chocolate Day- February 9 (Saturday):

Chocolates are sweetest and undeniable gifts so you can always spoil your loved ones by showering chocolates and candies on them as a way of showing love.

Teddy Day- February 10 (Sunday):

Lovebirds exchange cuddly teddy bears on this day as the soft toys are really adorable and also a cute method of expressing your feelings.

Promise Day- February 11 (Monday):

As the name suggests, this day couples and lovers make meaningful and ever-lasting promises to each other. The promises made on this day assures your better half that you are going to be by their side forever.

Hug Day- February 12 (Tuesday):

A warm hug can make the day of your loved one as a hug says it all that words can’t describe.

Kiss Day- February 13 (Wednesday):

The day just before Valentine’s Day is celebrated as the Kiss Day. This day people seal their love with a kiss. The day represents love, affection and passion towards your special someone.

Valentine’s Day- February 14 (Thursday):

It’s finally the arrival of the day of love. People present gifts to their loved ones, go on dates to make the day even more memorable. February 14 is celebrated in honour of Saint Valentine, a 3rd-century Roman saint associated with courtly love.
