Amidst current coronavirus lockdown, there is no news that shed any light of positivity. With a current tally of cases rising beyond 1000. Deaths surpassing the toll of 20 in India, it’s hard to see How will the pandemic be stopped? Adding to the woes, yesterday on Saturday we saw a migrant crisis erupting in Delhi.

Migrants have flocked to different bus stations in Delhi hoping to catch a bus to their home.

It was well seen how none of the migrants was wearing any mask or taking any precaution to save themselves from the virus.

The migrant crisis has become such a big issue as 8 of them yesterday, Saturday were killed in a road accident which happened in Karnataka and Hyderabad border.

All the migrants were returning fearing absence of basic amenities in times of need. The Delhi Govt to tackle the issue has requested the migrants, not to ‘panic’ and that the Union Territory has sufficient reserves to feed the poor and hungry alike. Amidst such saddening reports here is a ray of hope for all.

ISKCON has taken the challenge of feeding 100,000 hungry people along with state govt’s permission amidst coronavirus lockdown.

Head of ISKCON (International Society of Krishna Consciousness) Dwarka, Shri Pradyumn Priya Das (spiritual name of Piyush Goyal) is seen feeding the hungry migrants and also educating them about much needed social distancing amid coronavirus lockdown.

Here’s a video of ISKCON workers feeding hungry men in times of coronavirus lockdown.

In times like these organisations like ISKCON take on the duty of helping the needy, give them their basic requirements and provide dignity when we know lockdown can really toll on the poor.

With unprecedented laws, policies, changes that have come about due to coronavirus organisations like ISKCON are doing their best to feed the hungry. It only goes to say that we all need to stand together in times of need and should not panic and spread hate.
