The Barabanki court on Friday acquitted former AMU scholar Gulzar Ahmed Wani of terror charges in 2000 Sabarmati Express train blast case.

Wani was arrested over his alleged connections with Hijbul Mujahideen in the 2002 Sabarmati train blast case, which had claimed 10 lives. However, the Supreme Court had granted him bail earlier this year, after Wani suffered incarceration for over 16 years.
