The story of Seema Nagar, who was felicitated by Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje, is winning hearts these days. Her fascinating journey from a curious child to being an engineer was highlighted by Samsung India.

The ad starts with a father waiting with his brothers for the first cries of his newborn. His brothers reassure him that it will be a son, but fate has another story to convey. He gets blessed with a daughter.

Though the birth of a daughter is not celebrated in Rajasthan, Seema’s parents raises her like a boy.

As she grows up, her father continues to treat her like a son and pushes her to pursue her choice of career regardless of opposition within the family.

At a family gathering, her family realises her value. So, her uncles praise her and tells her father that she indeed is like a son, he finally replies, “A daughter is a daughter.”
