When we talk about Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan and his early nineties’ films, we fondly remember “Deewana”, “Chamatkar” and “Raju ban Gaya Gentleman”. However, recently on social media, a 1991 dated film of SRK is going viral for the witty one liners Khan has used in it.

In the 1991 short film titled “Mahaan Karz”, Shah Rukh plays the role of a treasurer’s son seeking employment at the king’s palace.

Interestingly, this film was released much before any of SRK early 90s films and his popular TV shows such as Circus and Fauji. Directed by the star’s theatre friend, Dinesh Lakhanpal, the film was shot by famous cinematographer Binod Pradhan, who went on to work with SRK in films such as “Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman” and “Devdas”.

If the description given on the YouTube video is to be believed, he received a sum of Rs 3,000 for this role. Shah Rukh was merely 25 at the time.

The 17-minute-long 1991 film which was uploaded on Youtube channel SRKinMyBlood has already garnered 37,000 views.
