We are firmly determined to build Congress in Karnataka as a cadre-based party with discipline, says newly appointed state unit president D K Shivakumar on Monday.
The last KPCC chief was Dinesh Gundu Rao at the time when the Congress did badly in the assembly polls last December.
DK Shivakumar while addressing media stated, “ Our plan remains to take everyone together, our plan remains steady to strengthen the party”s foundation, we want to provide strength to our karyakartas.”
Along with DK Shivakumar being assigned the post of KPCC chief, the party has also appointed Satish Jharkiholi and Saleem Ahammed as unit working presidents, along with Eashwar Khandre who is currently holding the same position he had.
DK Shivakumar has also cited the ongoing political developments in the nation as concerning, Shivakumar alleged that the BJP is at its best trying to change the political map of the nation.
“Congress has no greed for power, rather the party only wants to complete its responsibilities. Congress alone can keep this country united and Gandhi family can only keep the congress united, no one can change this,” he said.
The new KPCC chief has even mentioned along with the working presidents, leaders of opposition in both Houses, and senior leaders will meet Sonia and Rahul and other party leaders after the assembly and parliamentary session.
