Shelly Oberoi, an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from the East Patel Nagar ward of Delhi, has been elected mayor of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
On December 7, she also won the municipal election for her ward in the MCD.
She has served as a teaching assistant at Delhi University.
Also, the 39-year-old councilman is a lifelong member of the Indian Business Association (ICA).
Shelly has won many honours at multiple conferences.
She received her doctorate in philosophy from the School of Management Studies at Indira Gandhi National Open University.
The councillor received both the “Miss Kamla Rani Award” and a scholarship for achieving the greatest grade point average among all college students.
