Woman’s Body Found Hanging in Noida Flat: An Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer, Saurabh Meena, was arrested in connection with the death of a young woman found hanging from a noose at an upscale Noida apartment on Sunday.
NDTV reported that Shilpa Gautam, a Human Resources official at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), was found hanging from a cloth rope in Meena’s apartment in Noida’s Lotus Boulevard complex.
Shilpa and Saurabh reportedly met on a dating app and had been dating for three years, according to her family.
According to Shilpa’s father, OP Gautam, Saurabh had promised to marry Shilpa but failed to keep his commitment, causing frequent arguments and physical assaults.
OP Gautam accused Saurabh of murdering his daughter in his complaint to Sector-39 police.
Meanwhile, Saurabh said he met Shilpa through a dating app three months ago, not three years ago as her family claimed.
“All aspects of the case are being investigated meticulously,” said Mishra, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Noida. “Saurabh was remanded to judicial custody,” Mishra said.
An almirah in a house in Delhi’s Dwarka area was found stuffed with the body of a 26-year-old woman earlier this year. The woman’s father, who was present when the body was found, said the woman had been murdered by Vipal Tailor, her live-in partner.
The body of 27-year-old Sharddha Walker was chopped into 35 pieces by her live-in partner Aaftab Amin Poonawala in May 2022.
